Pi-top OS download problem

I was given a older Pi-top V2 and wanted to update to the latest OS version. When I download the Pi-topOS-bookworm-release-armhf-2025-06-13_b101.zip file using the download link from the Pi-top website I get a 2.2 GB zip file. The expected size of this download is 3.1 GB so there seems to be some issue with either the file or the download process. Multiple download attempts all complete successfully but result in the 2.2 GB zip file. When I use etcher to try to write the file to a micro sd card I receive the following error : opening source Error:(0,h.request metadata) is not a function. If I use 7zip to extract the files from the zip I get a “file is corrupt” error.

If I download the Bullseye version of the OS instead - that is successful and i can write it to the same 32 gb micro sd card without any issues using etcher. My pi-top successfully boots with this Bullseye OS version. Because of this I believe my download procedure, Etcher, the micro sd card, and the Raspberry Pi are all working correctly and the problem is with the Pi-topOS-bookworm-release-armhf-2025-06-13_b101.zip file itself. Is there any other location where I can download this OS version (aside from the Pi-top website)? Any other advice or suggestions on how I can resolve this problem? Thanks so much for your help! Rick

@pi-topMIKE @angus please could you take a look at this from your end?

angus Thank you for your help! I just downloaded the new OS successfully and was able to boot the pi-top with it. I was also able to run updates successfully. When the OS boots I do get a blank white screen labeled pi-top Onboarding which does not seem to be doing anything - no network activity, no activity lights on the Raspberry Pi board or the hub, or anything else that would indicate activity. Is this normal behavior? Thanks again for your help! Rick

angus Sorry for all the questions. I did not get the manual for the pi-top v2 unit when I bought it and have not been able to locate it online (so far) so I expect I am missing some steps that need to be done on the first boot. I will keep digging to see what I can find but at least I do have a running version of the pi-topOS Bookworm - thanks so much for your support! Rick

Really glad you were able to get the right download and get your hardware working, Rick! With regard to the manual, is this what you were looking for:
