Obvious spammers

@pi-topJorge is there anything that can be done about removing the spam posters who spam multiple threads at a time with seemingly LLM-generated messages containing hyperlinks that, I imagine, are probably dangerous to click on?

What I’m talking about here is, for example, user Droidtutors01 (whose account appears to have been hijacked two weeks ago) posting in six different, unrelated threads a rambling paragraph that encourages the reader to click on a hyperlink at the end.

This is far from being the first time that such an incident has occurred, with identical type posts by other users’ accounts appearing in multiple threads previously.

FYI for all forum users: I have just noticed a new spam style in another forum which I think it’s worth warning about in case it crops up here…forewarned is forearmed!

A spammer might reply to an existing thread with a one or two liner proposition that follows a certain typical format like:
Exclamation
–> sympathetic commiseration with the OP’s plight
–> suggestion of a couple of troubleshooting tips that sound like they might be relevant to the issue
–> “oh and by the way, I’ve just been trying out insert-malware-hyperlink-here, it’s been really interesting”

…where the malware hyperlink might seemingly be to a face-swapping website, or other completely irrelevant “tool”

Whatever you do, don’t click on their hyperlink!
