I have been trying to use my v1 speaker on my Pi Top Ceed using a RPI 3B+ and have tried analog I get sound from Bluetooth Headphones but not speaker,also tried buying v2 but can’t find it anywhere.
I seem to remember this going through HDMI audio rather than analog audio. The speaker connects via the hub that takes the HDMI signal from the Pi. The speaker has no physical connection to the Raspberry Pi’s analog audio output jack. The challenge is getting the OS to recognise that HDMI audio is available.
I haven’t played with this in a while so my memory might be off base here.
