I’m building a wall console with the pi-top Touch Display. To save energy, I’d like to switch the display into standby mode when nobody is around. However, the display won’t turn into standby mode.
I’ve run:
xset dpms force standbyxset dpms force offxset dpms force suspend
All three commands turn the screen black, but the display is still on (backlight still turned on).
Is standby mode supported?
Is it possible to turn the display into standby mode but keep the touch part active, i.e. one can touch the button to turn it on/off?
Is it possible to turn the display on and off without pressing the power button?
