This is the space to talk about the pi-topSPEAKER.
Technically this is the second iteration of the pi-topSpeaker so sometimes call it the pi-topSPEAKER_V2.
This pi-topSPEAKER has an I2S Amplifier (which runs off of 5V) and also has a I2C GPIO Expander to run a few things on the board. The speaker itself is 3 Watts. The great thing of the pi-topSPEAKER_V2 is that you can connect as many as you want together. Just remember to plug them in one by one.
If you’re ever confused about the pi-topSPEAKER and the pi-topSPEAKER_V2 then the way to tell the difference is that the V2 has a black PCB whereas the original has a green PCB. The original can only be used on pi-top1 and pi-topCEED because it uses SPDIF. The updated version can be used in the pi-top[3] as well.
